Inspired by the conviction that universities have a responsibility not only to their students, but to local communities and society at large, the Jean Beer Blumenfeld Center for Ethics seeks to enhance moral reflection, dialogue and constructive action on campus, in greater Atlanta and beyond. Universities should provide moral leadership by example and through innovative programming designed to stimulate critical thinking about the ethical issues inherent in our personal, professional and civic lives. To that end, the Center sponsors conferences, lectures, research in ethics, and a variety of theoretical and practical programs tailored to specific constituencies, all designed to support students and members of the larger community who wish to construct lives of personal integrity and responsible citizenship.
